Wild Caught Parosphromenus Ornaticauda

Parosphromenus Ornaticauda is a small freshwater fish belonging to the family Osphronemidae.

Adult males of this species typically reach a maximum length of 3.5 cm (1.4 in), while females are slightly smaller.

In the wild, P. Ornaticauda is found in slow-moving and shaded water bodies with a pH between 4.0 and 6.0, and a temperature range of 22 to 28°C (71.6 to 82.4°F). They feed on small aquatic invertebrates, such as insect larvae and crustaceans.

Housing: They are small fish so it is recommended to keep them in groups of 5 in a 5 gallon or larger unless breeding.  In that case, they are best kept in pairs.

Food: Blackworms, Brine shrimp and Daphnia (they only eat live food and needs to be trained to accept anything else. The addition of dither fish tends to help them learn about dry foods in our experience)
