By purchasing and viewing this site, you are agreeing to the following policies:

Shipping Time

We generally SHIP orders mainly on the following Monday and Tuesdays to prevent any possible delays over the weekend.  If you need them shipped on a different day or date.  Please discuss with us in advance. 

Please pay attention to YOUR weather

When fall and winter rolls around the corner, the temperatures will drop and make it a bad experience for everyone and worst for the fishes. Is is your responsibility to check your weather and let us know of any extreme weather. We will also try to check the weather on our end to be safe. Heat packs will be added if your temperatures fall below 60. If your weather is above 90s, we recommend waiting until your weather drops and make sure to select UPS Overnight shipping. Choosing to pick up at a UPS store during bad weather is also a good idea. Please let us know if you want to choose that option which you can also request yourself with the tracking number.

We reserve the right to postpone shipments if we feel that the weather is not good for shipping. Usually over 90F or below 30F. The well being of the fish is very important to us. You may request a refund if you do not want to wait.

Quarantine

We quarantine our fish for about a week and only have them available when we feel they're healthy and ready to go. However, we do deal with fish from the wild and it is not uncommon for fish from the wild to have some type of disease or parasite. If the fish is healthy and kept in a great clean environment, they will do just fine. We recommend using a quarantine tank as you would with any fish you purchase.

UPS Next Day Live Arrival Guarantee Policy

We guarantee live arrival for UPS next day air ONLY. Package must be received shortly after delivery. Please have someone available to pick up package.

Take a photo of the package (inside and out) and photos of the fish still in the bags with timestamps and immediately (within 2 hours) e-mail us support@bwaquatics.com.

We do not guarantee live arrival for USPS 2-3 days priority or UPS 2-day.

During storm events, holidays, extreme hot or cold weather, or random pandemics, we highly recommend UPS next day air as there may be an extra 1-2 day delay depending on location. That's 1-2 days too long to risk the lives of these rare fish.

We trust in our ability to accurately sex our fishes most of the time (95% of the time). However, we are not perfect and cannot guarantee the sex but we will work with you to find a solution.

Our fishes vary in sizes and will be smaller or larger depending on the shipment. If you need specific sizes, please inquire about the size of the fish from our latest shipment.
