Betta Splendens Complex.
IUCN Red List: Least Concern (Not a concern at the time IUCN last updated)
This betta can be found in various areas of asia, such as Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam.
This is a quality Betta Imbellis pair from a reputable breeder from Thailand. Beautiful coloration, especially on the cheeks. All males come from the same lineage and are generally similar.
They have a dark gray/brown body with long flowing fins, green iridescence on their body and fins with the Imbellis being most well known for the red teardrop shape on the anal fins.
These fishes are sometimes hybridized with other species to bring out better colors and finnage. They are aggressive by nature and males should be kept alone unless you are breeding them.
Temperament: Males are VERY aggressive and should be kept alone or in tanks with non-male betta mates. Can be kept in a planted community tank of multiple females if there is adequate space.
