Fancy Copper Nemo Plakat Betta

From the Betta Splendens Complex.

Fancy red type betta, short plakat type fins. Very beautiful, easy to keep and breed and great for beginners.

Ideal traits include

Nemo style coloration on the body, meaning some area will be colorless.
Thick opaque layer and Copper iridescence on fins and splatter throughout the body
May contain some minor other colors.

 

This is a domesticated form of the betta splenden with has many man-made mutations as well as hybridization with other splenden species.

Basic Information

Temperament: Males are VERY aggressive and should be kept alone or in tanks with non-male betta mates. Can be kept in a planted community tank of multiple females if there is adequate space.

TDS: 60 - 200

pH: 5.0-7.0

Temperature: 75-85 (much better coloration at a warmer temperatures above 78 degrees)

Diet: Carnivorous, we currently feed them live blackworms, frozen bloodworms and pellets.
