Blue Smaragdina Guitar

Blue is a Hybrid type of Smaragdina Guitar.

Smaragdina are a species of better in the Betta splendens complex identified by the snake like scales that cover their body. The unique structure of the scales causes the fish to shimmer with green and blue hues, creating a mesmerizing visual effect.. Due to its wide distribution, B. smaragdina exhibits regional variations in shape and color. Males may develop extended fins, but unlike the closely related Betta splendens, the fins of B. smaragdina lack the iridescent margin. The caudal fin typically has transverse bars and lacks the red, crescent-shaped distal band found in some other Betta species. Inhabits slow-moving streams, marshes, and rice paddies with dense vegetation. Prefers soft, slightly acidic water conditions.

"Guitar" variant with distinctive fin markings that appepars as spider webbing in the caudal fins.
