Betta Mahachaiensis

This betta is a newer species discovered in 2012 and can be found in central and southern Thailand. They encompassed habitat such as still moving water bodies such as marshland, ponds and ditches where the water is quite murky. They are also unique in that they can be found in water with measurable level of salt, being able to live in brackish water habitat. Mahachaiensis or Mahachais are known by their highly iridescence tail and the dual bars that covers their cheek plates.

The Copper color morphs occurs due the grey iridesence couple with the metallic gene.

Fish that “we select” for you are just as good as any fish, we just do not have the opportunity to take photos of them all. We always try our best to send the healthiest fish to our customers.
