BWA Betta Crib - Bubblenest Breeding Cave

A small cave-like structure that can be placed near the water surface to accommodate fish that utilizes bubbles to build their nest.  There are many ways to help your fish breed and we combined various ideas into this little cave to help your fish breed and feel safe and secure. 

We have tested several prototypes to make sure we have what we feel the fish needed.  They have built their nest and bred in each of our designs but we also took into account other aspects.

1. We used a small lip on the top to help keep bubbles inside the container moist and help the males grab air for their bubbles without having to go outside.

2. A small lip was placed on the bottom as well to help fry that fall stay within reach of the male.  The cave itself prevents fry from falling too far down and possibly disappearing.

3. All interior edges inside are angled so no fry would get stuck in the corners or edges and making it easier for the dad to pick them back up.

4. We made sure to use good suction cups so they do not fall.  (Note that they may be too good and may stick to the glass when you pull off the box but it is easy to place back by pressing one end and twisting it in)
