Wild caught Betta Simorum from Riau, Indonesia

From the Betta Bellica Complex.

This species is very similar to Bellica and also has a green iridescent body with long fins.  Males have better coloring, especially while breeding.  Males have a pointier dorsal, caudal and tail fin than females.  Also, slightly longer fins than females. This is the largest bubblenester of all bettas with temperament similar to Unimaculatas.

Temperament: We found their behavior to be similar to the Unimaculata complex. Although some sites have pointed them out to be fairly peaceful, they have been more on the aggressive side for us so far. Treat them like Betta Splendens.

Diet: Carnivorous, we currently feed them live blackworms, frozen bloodworms and pellets.
