BWA - Bred by us at Blackwater Aquatics

A copper variation of the Betta smaragdina. Betta smaragdinas originated in north central and north eastern thailand. They are known for their snake like scaling. They come from still water ponds and marshes which can often be quite clear. Unlike other splendens the habitat they come from can be quite harsh so they are able to tolerate lower temperature for a short period of time making them quite hardy and a great begginer fish. The copper coloration comes from the mutation of the iridescence color layer being gentically steel blue with double metalic genes.

Iridescence layer: blbl

Metallic layer: ++

NOTE: for ebay buyers, yes you can combine fish for shipping and other shipping options are available. Please PM us for more information
